Brownie Trifle Recipe

Here's the Brownie Trifle Recipe:

1 package brownie mix (for 13x9 pan)
2 1/2 cups cold milk
1 package (3.4 oz.) instant cheesecake or vanilla pudding (I used the cheesecake)
1 package (3.4 oz.) instand white chocolate pudding mix
1 - 8 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 to 3 Heath or Skor candy bars (1.4 oz. each) chopped (optional)

Prepare and bake brownies according to package for cake-like brownies, using a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Cool completely on a wire rack. In a mixing bowl, beat the milk and both pudding mixes on low speed for 2 minutes. Fold in the whipped topping. Cut the cooled brownies into 1 inch cubes; place half in a 3 qt. trifle bowl or serving dish. Cover with half the pudding. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with candy bars. Refridgerate. 16 servings

This cn be made into individual servings instead of using a big trifle bowl or big bowl. You can always mix things up too by using different flavors of pudding, candy bars, fruit or pie filling. It's a very versatile recipe. And it is delicious!!!

Italian Theme Party

On Sunday we went to my mom's for a birthday dinner for me. I usually want lasagna so we decided to have an Italian Theme party. Taking after Melody's family with their Sunday theme dinners. Well it turned out really fun. I forgot to take pictures so you'll have to picture it in your head but we had a meat, cheese and an olive platter.

We had different salami's, prociutto, and I'm not sure what else, then provolone cheese, parmesano reggiano, and pecorino cheeses. Then we had 2 different lasagnas one without ricotta cheese, rosemary bread that we dipped in EVOO and balsamic vinegar, green salad with italian dressing and pizza. I hope that was all....oh we made our own italian sodas, it was so fun and good.

For dessert we had creme puffs and an italian cream cake and the dessert that Zach said was either from heaven or hell. Haha, it was killer. It was a brownie trifle. It had brownies with white chocolate pudding and cheesecake pudding and coolwhip all mixed together in layers. It was so YUMMY!! And I was so full.

It's been very warm here in the 50's yeah. It's so funny as soon as it hits 40's people are in hoodies and t-shirts. Now in the 50's I won't be surprised to see shorts break out. The snow is melting like crazy. I'm ready for SPRING!!

Sunday is Paislee's baby blessing and everyone is invited. It's early 9:00 a.m. and we are having a breakfast afterwards at our house. We'd love to have you if you can make it.

Valentines Chocolate and Flowers

Valentines was nice. Tyler braved the snow and went and got me flowers and my fav Cadbury mini eggs. They are my favorite candy of all. I just love Easter candy. I can do without Halloween, Christmas and other candy but Cadbury mini eggs are the BOMB!! The only problem is the boys love them too. The whole bag was gone in a by the end of the day. Luckily Ty bought me two bags. I hid the one so the boys don't know I have it. Lucky me!!

Speaking of lucky I changed my blog design for St. Patricks. I love how you can change the background for the holidays or occasion. It's so cool. Well I'm off to eat my hidden Cadbury mini eggs and watch it snow. It's snowing, snowing, snowing here.

Dumpster Diving

Aunt Marlene went Dumpster Diving for this outfit. Pretty cute huh!!
As the story goes she was heading out to the dumpter behind her store. She has a fabric store called my Heritage Fabric incase you didn't already know (killer fabrics by the way, lots of modern stuff) I guess she saw some baby clothes hanging out a little so she grabbed them and they had tags on them still. They were a little dirty so she took them home and washed them. This is one of the cute dresses. I added the homemade "baby legs" and a cute flower bow to them and walah! (However you spell that) So thanks Aunt Marlene for doing some dumpster diving for Paislee. We love you!!

Trey is typical Trey lately with his funny faces. He needs a haircut bad but refuses. I'll have to talk him or bribe him into it soon. He has never liked to get his hair cut so it's always a major chore.

Here Tyson and Paislee were just hanging out getting ready for a sleep over at Grandma Patti's. We were putting Paislee's pj's on to go home and Tyson layed down by her.
